Sturgeon For Tomorrow Events

Guided Sturgeon Viewing & Hatchery Tour

Date: Saturday May 11, 2024
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Meet at 10:45am at Lorenzo’s Restaurant and Lounge - 1164 S. Black River Rd. Onaway, MI 49765

All participants will meet in the north parking lot at Lorenzo’s. At 11am we will carpool about 5 miles to the river. While there you will witness the research team net sturgeon, and learn about our collaborative programming as we continue on our quest to restore and rehabilitate the iconic lake sturgeon. We will then drive to the nearby streamside hatchery. In all the tour should take 2-3 hours.

Polarized sunglasses are very helpful to see down through the surface of the water. Please bring your camera, video gear, bug repellant, and water. Also, we may need rain gear. Porta-potties are available at the river sites.
